Trip Highlights
Marrakech Medina – A UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with souks, palaces (like Bahia Palace), and the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa square. It’s chaotic in the best way.
Fes el-Bali – One of the world’s largest car-free urban areas. The medina is like stepping into the Middle Ages—complete with ancient tanneries and the world’s oldest university (Al Quaraouiyine).
Ait Benhaddou – An ancient ksar (fortified village) made of earthen clay. It’s a UNESCO site and has starred in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Royal Palace Fes —- Feutures seven giant brass doors at the front gate, framed by intricate zellige tilework and carved cedarwood. It’s a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship. The surrounding tile mosaics reflect Andalusian and traditional Moroccan design.
Sahara Desert – The Merzouga dunes are the most famous. Picture golden waves of sand, camel treks at sunset, and star-studded skies at night.
Atlas Mountains – From snow-capped peaks to Berber villages and lush valleys like Ourika and Aït Bouguemez.
