Travel Information
INTERNATIONAL AIRFARE
Royal Jordanian, Turkish Air, American Airlines, United and Delta are the best airlines you can use to book international airfare for this tour. However, we are offering this trip as an extension after Egypt, if you are taking part on it please contact us for flight booking assistance.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
A valid passport is required for international travel and must be valid for 6 months after the return date of travel and have two blank pages available per country visited. A visa is required for American passport holders for this tour. The Visa will be pre-rearranged by the local team.
Note: Upon arrival into Amman airport, disembark your plane and walk down a short corridor where our airport representative is waiting to assist you with your entry visa, through immigration and on to baggage reclaim. Your entry visa will have been arranged by the local team, so please ensure you locate our representative (they will be holding a sign with your name on it) before you reach the visa desks, otherwise you may have to pay to enter. The visa fee is waived for non-restricted nationalities, and for the clients staying for a minimum of two consecutive nights in Jordan, coming through a Jordanian tour operator via Queen Alia International Airport.
HEALTH
The Center for Disease Control suggests that all travelers be up to date on routine vaccines, including Chickenpox (Varicella), Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis, Flu (influenza), Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR), Polio, and Shingles. For this tour, it is especially important to be up to date on your Hepatitis A and B vaccines. The areas we will be visiting are not in a sensitive zone with risk of malaria, we are also traveling in April, which is the end of the summer, so the exposure to mosquitos is minimal to none, consult with your physician about whether to take Malaria pills.
ATTIRE / WEATHER
Mostly casual, bring a light jacket or sweater for cool evenings, shorts are fine for the day time. Comfortable shoes are a must.
Expect warm weather while traveling in Jordan. End of the summer is typically warmer and sunny, so it should be magnificent. It can get chilly in the evenings. We recommend that you pack a light rain jacket or waterproof jacket.
