Meet the Founder: Duni Bauta
Born and raised in Cuba, Duni Bauta brings a lifetime of cultural insight, performance, and travel expertise to Impact Encounters. A graduate of Cuba’s hospitality school, where he later taught courses in culture and tourism, Duni launched his first career in entertainment, captivating audiences as an actor, singer, and dancer.
After a few years on stage, Duni followed his passion for travel. His journey took him across continents from living in Turkey and Greece to eventually settling in the United States in 2010. Since then, he has led hundreds of immersive trips across Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe, developing a unique approach to travel rooted in human connection.
Duni is known for his deep knowledge of contemporary art, food, and wine, and for designing experiences that offer rare access to local life. Whether he’s hiking new trails, exploring farmers’ markets in Asia, or leading a luxury safari in the Kruger Park area, his commitment to authenticity and quality is unwavering.
Favorite destinations? Cape Town, Lisbon, Tuscany, Mykonos, Siem Reap and anywhere in Spain (just to name a few.)
