Travel Information
TRAVEL PREP/INTERNATIONAL AIRFARE
Multiple American based airlines and several European carriers are among the airlines that can be used for this trip. We recommend booking at least 7 months in advance if you want to use frequent flyer miles.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
South Africa does not require a VISA for U.S passport holders.
You must have a valid passport that remains valid six months past your return to the U.S. You should also have a minimum of two empty passport pages.
If VISA is required for this destination, please contact us for assistance.
Please note that visas cannot be processed more than 90 days prior to departure and processing may take several weeks to complete. You may also apply directly at the Consulate in your area.
HEALTH
The Center for Disease Control suggests that all travelers be up to date on routine vaccines, including Chickenpox (Varicella), Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis, Flu (influenza), Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR), Polio, and Shingles. For this tour, it is especially important to be up to date on your Hepatitis A and B vaccines. The areas we will visit are not on sensitive zone with risk of malaria. We are traveling in April, which is the end of the summer, so the exposure to mosquitos is minimal. Consult with your physician about vaccines and whether or not to take Malaria pills.
MINIMUMS
All departures are guaranteed on a minimum number of participants. A Tour Manager will accompany a tour based on a minimum number of participants. This tour can be operated as a Private Tour, or can be customized/priced based on a final itinerary. Rates are based on a minimum participation of 10. For fewer than 10 participants, rates may be revised.
